Matt Barrett spent nearly two decades as a college football coach, and now he is calling real estate plays and helping buyers and sellers win each transaction. There are many skills that transfer over to the Real Estate profession, Barrett says, including the marketing and networking he did as a recruiter. Matt brings a unique knowledge of the Fayetteville area to his clients from over 12 years of recruiting student-athletes in the Southeastern NC region. “I made many home visits each year with families all over Fayetteville and surrounding counties and built great relationships with people I am excited to serve in the future. I am an effective listener and serve clients with a tireless work ethic and attention to detail.”
Embarking on a career in Real Estate wasn’t a stretch. Barrett’s parents owned and operated Barrett Real Estate beginning in 1985. His father became a licensed general contractor in 1990 and built more than 25 custom homes in the area. “Growing up in a family business, I learned the value of building relationships with clients by treating them like family, earning their trust and working diligently to exceed their expectations, Barrett says.” Now, along with the expert knowledge from the team at Coldwell Banker Advantage, Barrett continues that legacy in the community.
In his free time, Barrett enjoys serving in his church and mentoring student-athletes through athletics. He and his wife, Gretchen, have two sons.
